Ugandan musician Chinobay: ft the Wamu Spirit band from Africa and Jordan Scheffer

Come for the music, Dance for a cause, and help us create a brighter future for young people—locally and globally.

A powerful evening of music and community with Ugandan musician Chinobay live with his band from Africa featuring Nathan Longila from Congo DRC on drums, Danzel  Isaac from Ghana on keys, Okema Bosco from Uganda on percussion, and Asheville native Jordan Scheffer on vocals and percussion;  in support of World Bridge Foundation, a non profit dedicated to creating cross-cultural experiences through music, dance, and the arts, and running a community center in Asheville with programs reaching across the globe.

Last year, 2 weeks before Hurricane Helene, World Bridge Foundation launched a downtown community center and shop, at 62 Wall Street, offering after-school and family programs that give children a safe space to learn, create, and grow through world music and cultural exchange, as well as a craft shop to support artisans in Africa.

The evening will open with a family-friendly listening set then later the stage will transform into a high-energy African Dance Party and you are all invited to celebrate together on the dance floor.

All proceeds from this event go directly toward building and sustaining World Bridge Foundation’s youth programs in Asheville, while continuing to support educational and cultural initiatives in Uganda and beyond.
